A celebration in Nairobi on the occasion of leader Ocalan birthday

A celebration was held in Kenyan capital, Nairobi, where leader Abdullah Ocalan was kidnapped, on the occasion of his 73rd birthday.

Thomas Jeffrey Miley, lecturer in Political Sociology, University of Cambridge, and Grassroots Liberation movement, celebrated in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, where leader Abdullah Ocalan was kidnapped, on his 73rd birthday, the activists planted trees and painted a mural of the leader demanding "Freedom for Ocalan."

According to ANF news agency, Jeffrey Miley said: "This day gained meaning with Abdullah Ocalan, A statist administration can't be a democratic one. Democracy, in essence, is the people's power to govern themselves."

Grassroots Liberation Spokesperson Gacheke Gachihi, said "Freedom for Ocalan right now, Peace and unity right now, as we declare in Africa and Kenya as well."

The Grassroots Liberation Project is born of a commitment to social justice, was founded by Estella Schmid from England, a founding member of peace in Kurdistan, It serves as a bridge between Kenya and Europe and the Kurdish movement.
