Commander in Ain Issa frontline: Our priority is to defend occupied lands

Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries continue to target civilians on a daily basis in Ain Issa district, as they target the villages of Khalidiya, Hoshan, Jdeideh, Mu’laq, Saida and the international road in the western countryside of the district and villages belonging to the town of Heisha in the eastern countryside of the district and the civilians inhabited by heavy weapons and UAVs.

In this context, the commander of the Ain Issa Front, Akid Girê Spî, said in a statement to ANHA agency that the Turkish occupation is almost daily targeting the villages adjacent to the international road, especially the villages of Khalidiya, Hoshan and Mu’laq, in addition to targeting civilian cars passing on the international road, and causing material damage to civilian homes and properties.

Regarding the goal of the Turkish occupation, who targeted civilians directly, Akid Girê Spî stressed that "the goal is to provoke our forces, which are still committed to the armistice that was agreed upon in 2019," and that the Turkish occupation is violating the terms of the agreement and is bombing the villages adjacent to the international road and the vicinity of Ain Issa district center on an almost daily basis since it occupied the city of Girê Spi.

He added that the aim of these attacks is also to expand the area of its occupation of the lands in north and east Syria, displacing its population, destabilizing the security and stability of the region, and striking the social fabric and coexistence of the people of north and east Syria.

Referring to the movements of mercenaries and the Turkish occupation army on the frontlines, Akid said: "There are intensive movements on the front lines, especially adjacent to the international road and the Ain Issa district in the northern edge, where work is being done to raise the earthen berms around the military bases and to increase the establishment of new bases and strengthen them with heavy weapons such as missiles and tanks, cannons, mercenaries, and armies."

At the end of his speech, the commander of the Ain Issa Front, Akid Girê Spî, confirmed that they, as the Syrian Democratic Forces, will defend their land and people, face all infiltration attempts by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, and respond to the bombing of the Turkish occupation within the framework of their legitimate right to defend their borders and people and liberate all occupied lands.
