Newroz Day of 2022 held in Damascus

Today hundreds of the Kurdish people living in the Syrian capital- Damascus Converged on the Faiha' Stadium in the Dumar Project marking the Newroz celebrations of 2022.

After a minute of silence was observed in deference to martyrs of freedom, the Newroz Fire was lit followed by a speech delivered by PYD's Mazloum Yusuf who said that Newroz 2022 is going to be that of physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Then Hesen Abdullah delivered a speech on behalf of the Martyrs' Families Council in which he said:

''the best of our male and female youths  to preserve the Syrian dignity and a dignified living. We are all partners in this homeland as we defended it. This home is for all and it is the responsibility of us all and accommodates us''.

Then Mizghine Yusuf delivered Kongra Star Coordination speech saying:' the Newroz was an indication that oppression in the person of Zahak was destroyed, to be replaced by noble values of Kawa the Smith( Freedom, Justice, co-habitation and fraternity).

Today women of the Rojava and the North and East Syrian  revolution are all inspired by the resistance and values of the heroism of Kawa the Smith and Mazloum Dogan. They have proved to the world that it is the women revolution that crushed the ISIS terror. We, as women, we pledge our people and martyrs to proceed on the way adopted to make the 2022 Newroz a one to liberate all occupied areas and we will not appease until peace prevails the whole of a plural, decentralized and democratic  Syria''
