Ilham Ahmed: PKK, Newroz for all oppressed peoples

The Head of the Executive Council of the Syrian Democratic Council, Ilham Ahmed, stressed, during a speech was delivered in Newroz celebration in Afrin region, the necessity to escalate the struggle to the highest level to make this year is year for the physical freedom to the leader Abdullah Ocalan and liberation the occupied territories.

Ilham Ahmed drew attention to the merit of the martyrs, saying: "In the face of the policy of genocide and denial, there is great resistance in front of the enemies who are trying to eliminate the Kurdish presence, and our martyrs have demonstrated the extent of their belief in their cause, and their sacrifices made the heads of the great countries congratulate this historic occasion. She added, "The path we followed and we are still taking will never return from it. Our insistence and proving ourselves have created enemies for us who try to deny us and keep us from our path, but our insistence on the same path has brought us closer to freedom."

'Your resistance in Shahba is evidence of our attachment to our land'

During her speech, Ilham affirmed their insistence on liberating all the occupied lands, and said: "We are determined to liberate every inch of our land occupied by the enemy.

She added, "We are taking the right path, and the results are visible, and they are thanks to our struggle and our will, the enemies who want to wage a special war, we must tell them that you will not be able to deceive us again, and we will be victorious."

This year will be the year of freedom for Leader “APO”

Ilham stressed that unity is the way to achieve a free life, and added: "With one hand and one organization we will achieve what we want, and unity is the way to get rid of slavery, we must make ourselves a great force. Today Newroz is celebrated in Kurdistan and the whole world and this indicates that our identity must to be accepted and acknowledged.”

Ilham concluded her speech by saying: "This year will be the year of the freedom of Leader “APO”, it will be the year of recognizing the existence of the Kurdish people in the world. We must raise our voice and increase our demands and we must impose ourselves on the world. No to division. We have the right to live in our freedom and dignity because we are an honest people." Newroz is being held in Afrin district in the village of Allousha, which is affiliated to the al-Ahdath district in Shahba canton, with the participation of tens of thousands of IDPs from Afrin and the people of Shahba canton.
