​​​​​​​Intellectuals and politicians: dubbing PKK as terrorist unfair to millions of followers

People of North and East Syria from different backgrounds and ethnicities remain calling for the removal of the Kurdistan Workers' Party from the U.S. and EU terrorism list.

The part that was founded secretly on 27 November 1978 by a group of students of whom leader Abdullah Ocalan has attracted millions of people all over the world since then up to date. 

On the calls and appeals made by NES people to delist the party from the black list ANHA met director Azad Haj Mihamed who confirmed the legitimacy of the party that represents many classes and communities. '' to know the aims of the party we ought to go back to history. Most revolutions are attributed to oppression and the Kurdistan Workers' Party as a revolutionary and liberating movement came into existence because of marginalization and aggression to which the Kurdish people was subjected throughout history''.

Director Azad went on to say by going back to the Universal Declaration of the Human Rights we find a very important one that is the self –determination right for any oppressed people to defend itself. The Kurdish people throughout history the Kurdish people has been one of those most open to marginalization and repression that paved the way for the Kurdistan Workers' Party to emerge to fight for the hard working peoples''.     

From his part, head of the Conservative Party in the city of Hasaka Mohamed Barak was not astonished from the stance adopted by hegemonic countries stance towards the Kurdistan Workers' Party  saying:'' we all know well that any party or movement political or military throughout history and in our modern times when it is not in line with the ruling regimes or the will of the state is considered terrorist in their opinion. What do you think when this movement emerges in a country ruled by fascism and tyranny such as Turkey''.

Hence it is natural for Turkey to put the Kurdistan Liberation Movement in general and the Kurdistan Workers' Party in particular on the terrorist list and push countries, as it is a NATO Ally, to do the same thing as t fears the collapse of its tyranny''.  

Barak sees that PKK is a fighting movement saying: '' in reality, we as peoples of the region , we are not all Kurds, we all see in PKK that it is a fighting movement and it has the right to self-defense and it was formed by a group of youths that were holding a humanitarian philosophy and a political thought''. 

Barak indicated that ''Kurdistan Workers' Party, the PKK, exited many peoples and its leaders from darkness and the clutches of tyranny to the courses of struggle and freedom and self-defense and defend their morals and humanity''.

Barak noted to the huge popularity Kurdistan Workers' Party enjoys though it is dubbed as a terrorist organization and many protesting stands were organized and campaigns were held gathering thousands of signatories were not coincidences''.  

Barak went on to say ''the more people get closer to the party the more they become aware of the ideas and principles of the party. It is a party that accommodates all peoples aspiring for freedom''.

Barak said PKK woks to establish the will of the peoples that aspire to lead itself and use its resources without depending on regimes that exploit resources for their narrow benefits.

On the position adopted by international community and associations Barak said '' the UN Security Council and the United Nations and the European Council they are behaving in line with agendas that serve Great Powers such as the United States and Israel''.

Barak concluded by saying the silence preserved by the International community signify its disinterestedness, and that they only care for their interests '' they are not decision makers they look and we are not expecting much from them''.
