Martyrs of Qamishlo municipality recalled on their eighth anniversary

 Members of the People's Municipality in Qamishlo, the institutions of the Autonomous Administration, the Council of Martyrs' Families and the city's people participated in the commemoration ceremony.

 The ceremonies began at the tombs of the massacre’s martyrs, with a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs’ souls, followed by a speech on behalf of the Martyrs’ Families Council, delivered by Marei Muhammad. He recalled the martyrs of the massacre of the March 12 uprising, and said: “The martyrs of March will remain their memory immortal, and we pledge to honor their blood  and work to achieve all of their goals.

 Then Saka Bakdash, who was the co-chair of the people's municipality in Qamishlo when the attack on the municipality occurred, offered condolences to their families, and stressed that the struggle and sacrifices of the martyrs resulted in victories in all respects, stressing the need to fulfill those sacrifices and preserve the gains.”

 Then the people and all participants in the ceremony went to the municipality building in the center of Qamishlo city, and lit candles in memory of its martyrs.

 It is reported that on March 11, 2014, ISIS mercenaries launched an attack on the People’s Municipality in Qamishlo which resulted in the martyrdom of 11 members of the People’s Municipality.
