​​​​​​​NADA to preserve feminist gains in Middle East and North Africa

The Regional Democratic Feminist Alliance in the Middle East and North Africa NADA came into existence IN July 2021.

The alliance adopts a vision for an overall strategy based on the human rights reference and aims to build a community based on freedom, democracy, equality, social justice and human dignity.

In a statement made to ANHA Wala' said '' we were pushed by feminist orientations, and what women face in the Middle East and North Africa. The step was to be taken to create a strong and influential feminist force pioneering in the region''. 

Wala' said at least 200 women attended the conference that was held in Beirut, representing all over the region as  well representative3s of associations and feminists to create such an alliance.

Wala' said ''a feminist regional committee was formed to establish and preserve the feminist gains made by women in the region that was ravaged by wars, conflicts and violence and sectarian and ethnic seditions all supervised by tyrannies''.

On the timing Wala' said the region witnesses unprecedented challenges and its main aim is to lay stress on the ability of women to make a substantial change and on the International Woman's Day it marked the start, it was announced.

It is set that on 14 March the alliance hold its very first digital forum under ' with the Feminist Unity we Will Achieve effectual Equality and Real Democracy''.
