​​​​​​​ Isolating leader from us did not weaken our will: Afrin IDPs

 Leader Abdullah Ocalan visited Syria in the eighties of the last century and stayed there and in Lebanon. During that period, he held meetings attended by thousands of people from different cities and villages (Kobani, Qamishlo, Afrin, Aleppo and Hasaka).

 During those years, the idea of ​​the leader began to spread around the world, which made the capitalist countries weave a heinous plot against him on October 9, 1998, in which many European and regional countries and parties hostile to the Kurdish issue participated.

 The plot against the leader was carried out on February 15, 1999, when the leader was kidnapped in Kenya.

 Since the kidnapping of the leader Ocalan and to this day, the Turkish occupation authorities have implemented arbitrary policies against him in Imrali prison, with the aim of preventing the dissemination of the leader's thought and philosophy among peoples.

 In his maximum security prison, the leader, Abdullah Ocalan, is subjected to severe isolation, and two penalties have been imposed on him, according to which his lawyer was prevented from meeting him for a period of six months, and the leader's family was prevented from visiting him for a period of three months.

 However, the people who met with the leader, including those who got to know his idea, pledged to follow in his footsteps, doing their efforts to make their revolution a success and spread his idea around the world.

 'Our attachment to the leader made us more determined to stay'

 In the context, Soraya Habash spoke about the first meeting she had with leader Ocalan in 1986, and her attachment to his thought and philosophy.

  "Our presence in the meetings, despite its danger, did not frighten us. In our meeting with the leader, his good morals and his method of dealing with the people caught our attention. He showed his truth and the extent of his sincerity and love for the revolution and his belief in its victory despite its difficulty, as the leader insisted on our return to our areas after the meeting for fear of us, but our attachment to him increased us.  Determined to survive despite the danger of the place.

 'Homeland is more precious than our lives'

 Soraya Habash continued, saying: "In 1991, we went back to see the leader," adding: "The leader has awakened us from our slumber, as we were heading towards extermination.  We can do what we can to make it successful, no matter how high the price, because the homeland is more precious than our lives.”

 Soraya also spoke about the policies of repression pursued by the Damascus government against the Kurdish people, which hindered their struggle: "We always finished our duties and our work with great care, because the Damascus government used to imprison every person related to Kurdishness and practice all kinds of torture against him without mercy."

 Soraya touched on the international conspiracy against the leader Abdullah Ocalan, which was planned since October 9, 1998, and implemented on February 15, 1999, describing it as a crime against humanity.

 She said: "When the leader felt the danger of the situation and the damage that could be caused to the people in Syria, he decided to leave it towards European countries, perhaps those countries that claim to be democratic help solve the Kurdish issue, but on the contrary they had a hand in kidnapping the leader."

 'I don't regret joining the movement'

 Ibrahim Khalil talked about the period of his acquaintance with the Kurdistan Liberation Movement, the style of its cadres, and the extent of his attachment and admiration for them. He said: "When the cadres came to our house, I liked their way of dealing with us and introducing them to themselves, the movement, the revolution, the thought and leadership of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, who aims for the freedom of his people."

 He added, "The comrades spoke to us about the leader and his way of understanding with everyone. I have never heard in history of anyone like the leader and his features that whenever someone looks at him he smiles. He drew my attention to their love for him, so I was also affected by them and joined the revolution at the time and started voluntary work with them and I do not regret joining the  the movement".

 Regarding the conspiracy against the leader Abdullah Ocalan, Khalil expressed his sadness, saying: "This universe accommodates every human being to live in freedom and peace. Except for the leader, as they did not allow him to express his opinion and defend the oppressed peoples, because his thought ends power, slavery and capitalism, every country did not help  The commander had a hand in the plot."
