​​​​​​​AANES: Turkish escalation in the region is a direct revenge for ISIS defeat

AANES issued a statement to public opinion regarding the escalation of Turkish occupation state's attacks on the region, reads:

"After the new attempt, which was considered the dream of ISIS to rise again, through what happened in Al-Sina'a prison in Hasaka, with direct Turkish support. The plan that the components of NES people thwarted with their awareness and solidarity, and Syria Democratic Forces and security forces with their resistance and sacrifices; Turkish state directed direct revenge against our people by targeting areas in Derik countryside with aircraft, in conjunction with the same aggressive behavior in areas of Shahba, Shengal and Makhmour refugee camp in Başûr.

The statement continued: "This escalation and aggression is a clear declaration of Turkey's dissatisfaction with the failure of ISIS in Hasaka, and a new attempt to strike the stability of our regions and create chaos in order to return terrorism and pass on its plans and agendas that it failed to achieve over the past years."

The statement added: "While we condemn this Turkish terrorist aggression, we call on world public opinion, as well as international coalition, Russia and all international and human rights institutions to put an end to this Turkish aggression on our regions, and we specifically remind Russia and America of the understanding that was made between the two parties separately with Turkey, regarding the cease-fire. This aggression is a clear violation of it and Turkey heading towards war through genocide against our people, which we reject and do not accept at all, and we will struggle with all determination to protect the gains of our people and our martyrs.
