AANES’ General Council: Extremists must be returned to their states 

Monday, AANES’ General Council issued public statement on the background of ISIS attacks on Sina’a prison in Geweran neighbourhood in al-Hasakah city, in which ISIS detainees are being held.

The statement asserted that the aim of the attack was to tighten control of al-Hasakah city and secure a terrorist passage from Tal Tamr to al-Hol Camp.

The statement reads:

Once again, is proved to the worldwide that Turkish’s mentality is just expansionist and aggressive desires and ambitions aimed at targeting the Earth and humanity in Syria, particularly in its north-east, where Turkey worked day and night through its pro-destabilizing foreign minded mercenary and tried to thwart the democratic project of AANES, through direct occupation of the land, using UAVs that targeted civilians before the military, then after training the mercenaries in special camps in Ras al-Ain and Tal-Abyed and send them to Geweran neighbourhood in al-Hasakah city, targeting Sina’a Prison that includes nearly 5,000 ISIS detainees from more than 50 of different nationalities of the worldwide in order to control al-Hasakah city and secure safe passage from Tal-Tamr to al-Hol camp to Iraqi lands amid an inaction of Syrian regime to protect its borders and its silence towards the ongoing Turkish aggression on Syrian lands, that is considered egregious violation on the Syrian sovereignty, but the vigilance of military and security forces, as well as to support of NE Syria people their forces and  the intervention of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS are factors contributed to thwart this malicious scheme that targets everything.

We in the General Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria invite our people and the components of NE Syria and every honourable people to support AANES and to stand with it in the face of internal and external plots. We pay tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs who martyred in the duty to protect civilians from extremism. We also call upon the international Global Coalition to bear its responsibility in confronting ISIS and its allies and tireless work to return extremists of of different nationalities to their States. "
