​​​​​​​On anniversary of occupation of Afrin, KSC condemns crimes of Turkish occupation

and we appeal to the guarantor countries to end the occupation  Turkish for Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî. With the approach of the fourth anniversary of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries launching their attacks on Afrin canton in northern and eastern Syria, and the massacres that claimed the lives of hundreds of civilians, most of them children and women, the KSC issued today, Monday, January 17, a statement to the public opinion.

 The statement indicated that ten years of killing, destruction and forced displacement have passed on the peoples of the region and the prolonging of the life of the Syrian crisis, and the policy of misinformation continues, "Here we are on the cusp of the fifth year of displacement in al-Shahba areas after the systematic forced displacement, in the hands of the fascist Ottoman Ottoman state and its mercenary factions.  Those whom it recruited to implement its expansionist and occupier plans in an effort to revive the glories of the Ottoman Sultanate and in the eyes of the whole world and an international silence.

 On the policy of Turkification, the statement said that the Turkish occupation has worked to perpetuate the policy of Turkification and demographic change in the city of Afrin by targeting nature and monuments in particular.

 The statement stressed that "the government of justice and development has failed politically, militarily, diplomatically, socially and economically and has repeatedly tried to export its internal crises outside the country, and in the midst of these challenges, the Afrin woman demonstrated her spirit of yearning for freedom with steel will, determination and insistence on resistance and struggle for the return and liberation of all lands  from the abomination of terrorism is the one who lived through the suffering and pain of her people and turned her into a societal force that nurtured the buds of a generation full of patriotism and revolution.

 The statement pointed out that "the Afrin woman has been known since history for her struggle and revolutionary spirit."  On the barbaric mentality of the Turkish occupation, and for that, it poured all its hatred against the gains of women in the Rojava revolution.

 The statement condemned the violations and crimes against humanity and women that are taking place in Afrin. "In the name of the women in Kongra Star in the Afrin region, we reject the Turkish government's policy altogether and condemn and denounce the international silence regarding what is happening in Afrin of violations against humanity and women in particular, and we appeal to the guarantor countries to end the Turkish occupation of Afrin,  Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî, and the imposition of an air embargo on the regions of northern and eastern Syria.

 The statement appealed to women’s movements and all international organizations and human rights bodies that claim to be organizations established with the aim of protecting human beings, children and women to intervene quickly, end the occupation, expose its crimes and violations against the Syrian people as a war criminal, and carry out their humanitarian duty to put an end to the Turkish attacks on the region and impose political guarantees for the safe return of the displaced Afrin and all displaced persons in  inside Syria.
