Kongra Star issues statement on its 17th founding anniversary

 The Coordination issued a written statement on the occasion of its 17th anniversary, and the statement stated: One of our strategic goals for the sake of the future constitution of Syria is to form a constitution in which women are the decision makers.”

 The text of the statement stated:

 “Through Kongra Star, the women of Rojava, north and east of Syria, have proven their existence and entity. Women always repeat this saying, emphasizing its importance for them.

 The statement added: "Sakina, Layla, Fidan, Kola Salmo, Mother Aqeeda, Mother Amina, Habon Zahra, Hevrin, Amara, Hind, Saeeda, Sawsan, Toledan. All of them are our moral leaders in our struggle for freedom. They sacrificed their lives for the freedom of women, becoming a sacred symbol for us. We remember them all and confirm our march towards achieving women's freedom. We also congratulate their pure souls on the anniversary of the founding of the conference."

 And it added: "Our conference, which was previously known as the Star Union, wanted by defining its work mechanism as a Star Conference and its goals that seek to educate and train women in all fields. It wanted to reach all women. In its sixth conference in 2016, the conference realized that it had to define itself as an umbrella that brings together all  women are working on educating and organizing them, so the union changed its name and system, and it became Kongra Star that embraces all women.”

 "The women of Rojava's  struggle since the beginning of the revolution, have proven to the whole world that it is the revolution of women. This revolution encouraged many women to struggle for freedom.

 We pledged to carry out all our duties and raise the level of providing support and assistance to women in the occupied territories.  And also providing support to the displaced women from Afrin, Tel Abyad and Serêkaniyê to encourage them to continue the struggle.  We will not forget the support of women in the areas of Azaz, Bab and Jarablus, as the women of these areas face most difficulties and obstacles in their lives.

 At the same time and on the principle of embracing all women, we work to rehabilitate all women by providing support to all women's organizations, protecting women's rights, and implementing justice and equality in the system of male domination that governs the whole world.

 We also salute the resistance of the women of Afghanistan against the Taliban.  And the resistance of the women of Afrin against the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

 The path in which he makes a lot of sacrifices will inevitably have a spirit and a high ambition to achieve great goals, and from the union to the Star Conference, leading the women’s revolution will ensure women’s gains.”
