The occupied areas turn into a focus for the spread of Leishmaniosis

The Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries continue their endless series of crimes against the people of north and east Syria, using various methods, militarily, politically, economically and even healthily, as it continues to cut off the waters of Khabur River, turning its course into ponds and swamps that help spread epidemics, as a result of stagnation of water.

The transformation of river into swamps, in addition to turning some points in occupied areas close to the frontlines into dumps, led to the spread of the fly, which causes leishmaniosis, and its transmission to Tel Tamer district of Hasaka Canton.

As a result, Martyr Legrain Hospital in Tal Tamr receives patients with leishmaniosis almost daily, and provides vaccinations and treatment.

Martyr Legrain Hospital of Autonomous Administration of NES, in Tal Tamr district, provides two doses of leishmaniosis vaccine per week to the injured, which is experiencing great pressure due to the increasing injuries, calling for a radical solution to the areas of spread of leishmaniosis.

Hanoof Ibrahim, the medical in charge of leishmaniosis at Martyr Legrain Hospital, revealed that the number of injured reached 16,473, amid an increase in the number of injuries due to the increased spread of sand flies.

Hanoof Ibrahim explained that the spread of the disease began to worsen after the occupation of Serê kaniyê city, noting that the most important reasons for the spread of the disease and the high number of injuries is the Turkish occupation state intentional spread of it.

And the leishmaniosis, began to spread widely in Tal Tamr district and its villages since the beginning of last August.
