Al-Asr Office submits a request to meet leader Ocalan and other detainees

Al-Asr Office submitted a request to Turkish Constitutional Court to meet leader Abdullah Ocalan and other detainees in Imrali prison on Turkish island of Marmara. The office expressed its concerns about the health of leader Abdullah Ocalan and the rest of the detainees, and said, "Their lives are in danger".

Al-Asr Office requested the Turkish Constitutional Court to meet the leader Abdullah Ocalan and the other prisoners, Omar Khairy Konar, Hameli Yildirim, and Weyssi Aktash, from whom no information has been received for nine months.

According to Mesopotamia News agency, the lawyers applied for the visit on December 24, and it stated that the last conversation of the lawyers with leader Ocalan was via phone call on March 25, and the agency said: "Since 9 months ago, we have not been able to obtain any information about our client's health, and during this time, no direct visits were made with our clients, and no phone call or messages were made by them".

Al-Asr Office expressed its concerns about the health of detainees in Imrali, "The lives of our clients, from whom no information has been received since March 25, 2021, are at risk. Despite their age and health, the isolation imposed on them threatens their spiritual and physical health.
