During the morning hours, the Kurdistan Democratic Party forces closed the Al-Walid crossing in southern Kurdistan, near of the Al-Suwaydiyah crossing in the Kuçarat area of Derik district, after a decision of administration of the Faysh Khabur crossing.

Semalka's administration revealed that KDP officials issued a decision to close Al-Waleed commercial crossing between Rojava and southern Kurdistan, and banned any materials to be brought through the crossing into Rojava. Our reporter documented, via photos and videos, the closure of Al-Waleed Crossing.

The crossing is 35 km away from the Semalka border crossing, while it is supervised by the administration of the Faysh Khabur Crossing of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. The crossing was opened about four years ago, for the entry of building materials (cement, iron, etc.).

The KDP had also closed the Faysh-Khabur border crossing last Thursday. The administration of the Semalka crossing is scheduled to issue in this context a statement to the public opinion, at 1 pm today.
