Turkish attacks on Shengal follows Yazidi victory

Yazidis were open to many massacres in history the last of which was the assassination of Co-chair of the Shengal Autonomous Administration Marwan Badal and the injury of his two sons in a strike carried out by a Turkish drone on 7 December and the strike of Peoples' House in Khana Sor on 11 December.  

On the issue a number of the people of Darbassiye of the Hasaka Canton were interviewed by ANHA.

Adnan Ilewi says ' the Turkish aim of targeting the Yazidi component is to revenge for ISIS defeats, since the Yazidi victory attained over ISIS that used to be supported by Turkey, the latter adopts attacks on Shengal'.

Adnan noted shelling and targeting patriotic figures indicates Turkish fears of will and determination of the Yazidis. Adnan called on Yazidiz to proceed fighting and struggling until their goals met, and to resist Turkish occupation state and its policies aiming at destruction of the people and is culture'.

In turn, Adla Ali laid stress on the that targeting patriotic figures such as Marwan Badal is a continuation of the policy adopted by the Turkish occupation forces and its agents against peoples seeking to run itself adding that such bids will not subvert the will of people.

Adla said' Yazidis were inflicted with calamities and were subject to a lot of massacres the last of which was carried by ISIS and now these are reenacted by the Turkish state but the Yazidi people will attain victory.

Ahmed Mahmoud from his part says the Kurdistan peoples adopted resistance and fighting a course for self defense adding they will fight until their objectives met to live honorably on the soil of Kurdistan. The people of Shengal ought to proceed resistance.
