Campaign to remove PKK from "Terrorism List" continues

On December 13^th, the International Justice Initiative for the Kurds launched an international campaign to remove the PKK from the list of the United States and the European Council of Terrorism.

So far, more than 1,000 eminent personalities from 30 countries have joined and led the campaign, in addition to a large number of parliamentarians, academics, artists, political leaders, writers and activists.

The Firat news agency quoted the International Justice Initiative for the Kurds, that anyone can join the campaign, which was organized in several languages ​​on the website (https://justiceforkurds.info).

While the campaign will be organized in Europe, the United States, Canada and Australia, Kurdish community centers will play an active role in the framework of this campaign, and platforms will be established and signatures collection for this purpose, and the campaign will continue in the same context with the aim of collecting 4 million signatures.

The signatures will be submitted to the European Council and relevant institutions in the United States, and the signature will serve as a reference for parliamentarians and thus put the issue on the agenda of national or federal parliaments.

The aim of the initiative is to end the pretexts taken by the Turkish occupying state to justify and legitimize its attacks, namely "fighting terrorism", where the Turkish state cites the "terror list" of the European Union and the United States as a justification for its occupation attacks and the suppression of opposition voices at home, especially the Kurds.

The Turkish state, which regularly commits war crimes in Makhmor, Şengal and Rojava, uses these pretexts to justify its criminal actions and practices.

The initiative considers that removing the PKK from the "terror list" is extremely important, in order to break the silence of international forces, and it will open the way to achieving justice for the Kurdish people.
