Roj mercenaries' families: Don't  be a tool in exterminating Kurds

After Roj mercenaries move against Kurdistan mountains and Guerrilla, their families' described their move as shameful and far from respect.

Their families say that many of them moved to Başûr Kurdistan due to the economic condition and the forced recruitment imposed by the Damascus government, and after several years they joined Roj mercenaries. Their affiliation to Roj mercenaries has not been accepted by their families so far.

Muin Hassan's brothers, Adnan and Saber Hassan moved to Başûr Kurdistan in 2013 due to forced recruitment imposed by Damascus government.

Hassan explains that his brothers joined the Roj mercenaries in 2014 because of the bad economic situation. The reason for their joining was taken as an excuse to stand against Guerrilla today. Hassan expressed his stances against his two brothers in this way, "The war between the Kurds is the policy of the Turkish state, Turkey can't defeat us by itself. Just as they created enmity between Mam Jalal and Masoud Barzani, they want to do the same again between us. If sedition occurs there, it will happen here too. They sent one of my brothers to Qandil to fight against Guerrilla. What did he do there? They arrest fighters in Roj Peshmerga who don't want to fight against Guerrilla. Why is Kurdistan Democratic Party sending them?"

Hassan says he spoke to his two brothers several times and told them to come back. But because of the propaganda adopted against Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and Syrian Democratic Forces, his two brothers told him: "If we come back, we will be arrested."  Hassan replied "No one has been arrested, no one will put you in prisons. The Turkish state also doesn't let them return. They say they can't return officially. They circulate the names of their defectors everywhere and  don't let  them to work anywhere. They don't pay their dues too. They give them their salaries every four or five months. Many of them resigned due to non-payment of salaries. And who quit, must return to their country."

Hasan said that they don't want the Roj mercenaries to become a weapon in the hands of Turkey. He continued, "If my brother died there, he will not be considered a martyr because they are not Peshmerga. Masoud Barzani says that he does not want a civil war in which brothers fight. So what is going on? they made our people who are from Rojava a Turkish force. Turkey wants to make us hostile to each other. Roj Peshmerga should abandon these behaviors. They can put their weapons down now and take a position to say that they will not kill their brothers. The Turkish state can send them tomorrow to Iran or Libya too, there are no enemies for us in Qandil."

Abdul Ghani Qari, 47 years old, is the brother of Shiraz Qari, 50 years old, who joined Roj mercenaries seven years ago. According to Qari, his brother joined Roj mercenaries for economic reasons. But he criticizes his brother because he is staying with them until now and tells him that there are thousand jobs if he returns to the region. Qari also shared his position regarding the concentration of Roj mercenaries in the Guerrilla regions and said: "infighting is not good for us. Go and fight the enemy. They should fight Erdogan, my son is in the ranks of People Protection Units. How can they raise their weapons against each other tomorrow or after?" .

Qari made clear that complicity with Turkey is a shameful act. He called on his brother and said, "I invite my brother to come back to his area and work in it. Job opportunities here are available. That is better to be under Erdogan’s shadow and becoming a mercenary. When I mention the word mercenary, I get upset, return to your land."
