Child Protection Bureau hands over 2 minors to families

In accordance with the agreement signed between the Syrian Democratic Forces and UN, the SDF has handed over 2 minors from Kobani, (A.M) and (H.A), to the Child Protection Bureau, to be handed over to their families in Hasaka Canton Council.

Co-chair of the Child Protection Bureau in Armed Conflicts, Khaled Jabir, told ANHA "Today, we have handed over 2 minors from Kobani to their families, in coordination with Kobani Child Protection Bureau."

Jabir noted ''the main aim of the bureau is to provide a safe environment for minor children and keep them away from armed conflicts. ''

Adding the bureau is working to provide an appropriate environment to the children, and they follow up complaints made and deliver them to the concerned authority to exclude children from armed conflicts.

Worth to note,  210  children have been handed over to their families all in conformity with agreement reached upon by the Commander-in-Chief, Mazloum Abdi, and the Special Representative of the General Secretary of the United Nations for Children and Armed Conflict, Ms. Virginia Gamba, in an official ceremony held at the headquarters of the International Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.
