Councils, dignitaries of Deir ez-Zor denounce Turkish threats, Damascus government attempts to destabilize region

The civil, local, and military councils, the Future Syria Party, and the dignitaries of the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside stressed the need to rally around the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Autonomous Administration to confront all threats to the region, and rumors of parties linked to the Damascus government to create confusion in the region.

This came through a statement issued by the councils of the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside to the public opinion, in which they condemned the attacks and threats of the Turkish occupation of northeastern Syria, and the rumors issued by the parties affiliated with the Syrian government aimed at creating strife and confusion in the region, coinciding with the Turkish threats. In the same context, a meeting was held in the Euphrates Council with the participation of the Eastern Region Council, the Military Council, the Future Syria Party, the Internal Security Command, and representatives of all local councils in the Euphrates region.

The meeting began in the Euphrates Council with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, followed by several speeches, which were initiated by the head of the Future Syria Party for the Deir ez-Zor region, Muhammad al-Shaaban, by talking about the political situation in general and the conspiracies hatched against the Autonomous Administration, especially the private war represented by false and malicious allegations about the entry of Damascus government to the areas of the Autonomous Administration, and stressed the need for cooperation and cohesion with the Syrian Democratic Forces.

For his part, Ibrahim Al-Assi, in a speech on behalf of the Hajin Military Council, stressed the full readiness to confront any possible aggression on the borders of the Autonomous Administration, and that the liberation of the region was thanks to the martyrs who sacrificed to eliminate ISIS mercenaries, and said: "That pure blood will not go in vain. We will not tolerate anyone trying to destabilize our security and stability."

Meanwhile, the co-chair of the Civil Council in the eastern countryside, Muhammad al-Amiri, referred to the organizational and institutional situation in the region and indicated that they continue to provide service projects, as the region witnessed a development in the service level more than the past two years, stressing that they continue to support the forces of Democratic Syria in the face of any aggression or rumors that affect the freedom of the peoples of the region to determine their own destiny or that try to change their political orientation from any side.

The door was then opened to the attendees to discuss some difficult issues that need clarification, and the attendees exchanged questions, debates and answered them with the meeting’s organizing body.

The meeting concluded with a set of recommendations that would raise the morale of the people and confirm the readiness of the Syrian Democratic Forces to address any aggression that affects the borders of the Autonomous Administration.

It is worth mentioning that this meeting is a step a series of meetings that will be held in several local councils in all regions of Deir ez-Zor, and tomorrow a dialogue seminar will be held in the Agriculture Council in the city of Hajin in the same context.

"We condemn and denounce the hostile actions of the Turkish government and the criminal and its president Erdogan, who seeks to build a new Ottoman Empire in the region," the statement read.

He added: "We are against any Turkish interference in the region and any external interference from any side. We absolutely reject any aggression and attacks on north and east Syria. We support the Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces with one heart and one opinion. We always and forever stand with each other to repel any attack by any party and any interference.

The statement singled out the promoters of propaganda and rumors aimed at destabilizing the security and stability of the regions of north and east Syria, and said: "We will remain and rally around the Syrian Democratic Forces and with our Autonomous Administration, and that our areas are safe and we are advocates of peace, not advocates of war, and we want peace and a secure life in our regions."
