Voicing concern about life and health of leader.. KCK: move must be taken against isolation

This came during a written statement issued by the co-presidency of the Leadership Committee of the Kurdistan Community Union (KCK), today, Sunday, and reported by the Furat News Agency.

 The text of the statement stated:

 "For 23 years, the leader, Abdullah Ocalan, has been subjected to severe isolation. Since July 2011, he has not been able to meet with his lawyer, only during the local elections and in order to get the votes of the Kurdish people, they allowed the lawyers to meet with him several times. On April 5, 2015,  Because of the protest of public opinion, they allowed his family to meet with him several times, and disciplinary penalties are imposed against him for years with flimsy pretexts in order to obstruct these meetings. These actions and the system of isolation in Imrali do not comply with the law, but rather go according to their policies, and with the aim of revenge, and one of these penalties came on the pretext of talking with his comrades while walking in prison, in this way he was prevented from meeting with his family and lawyer.

 Fascist actions start in Imrali and spread all over Turkey

 The actions of the fascist Turkish government in Imrali against the leader Ocalan show the extent of the hostility towards the Kurdish people, as these actions begin in Imrali and are applied throughout Turkey, and this thing is proven day after day.  Dogan referred to this fact during his statement, and explained that oppression and injustice are being done against all Kurdish prisoners in Turkish prisons and with the same concept, and the HDP always mentions them. These actions that began in Imrali have turned into a policy practiced against the Turkish people, and all forces declare this political and opposition in Turkey, otherwise there would be no real opposition against the government of the Justice and Development Party and the National Movement.  Democracy in Turkey, the place where this has been proven is Imrali, unless the position is changed in Imrali, not a single step will be taken in Turkey towards solving the Kurdish issue, and Turkey will remain a hostage of the fascist government.

Fighters for democracy and freedom must raise their voice against the repression in Imrali and other prisons

 In Imrali and Turkish prisons, a person is punished;  Because he talks while walking with his mates. This shows the extent of the injustice. The arguments are ready, in this way meetings with the family and lawyers are prevented, it is clear that this is an injustice is against humanity, this fascist mentality always seeks to practice torture  against the leader Ocalan,  for this, the leader Ocalan is educating the Kurdish people against the regime of denial and genocide. We and the leader Ocalan know with what mentality this policy is practiced in Imrali and in other prisons. Of course, our people, leader Ocalan and the prisoners with this awareness are resisting against this deadly fascist mentality. The democracy and freedom will not be achieved in Turkey. These actions aim at extermination. Therefore, those who struggle for democracy and freedom in Turkey should raise their voices against the oppression and torture in Imrali and other prisons.

 The Kurdish people are waiting for the lawyers to fulfill their responsibilities towards the leader and verify his health, but the lawyers are unable to obtain this information because they can't go to Imrali.

Hindering families' access to information is a crime against humanity

 Families cannot meet their children, not only the leader Ocalan, but the other three prisoners in Imrali also cannot meet their families. Through this ban, they do not only torture prisoners, but their families at the same time.

 The European Committee against Torture in Prisons is also responsible for the torture regime

 Of course, the countries that participated in the international conspiracy as well as the organizations of which Turkey is one of its members are responsible for this situation. The European Council and the Committee against Torture in Prisons does not show a clear position on it, although Turkey is bound by legal standards and human rights which should not be the subject of compromise, these crimes of the Turkish state are ignored due to political interests, and the Turkish state also takes advantage of this situation and continues the system of oppression in Imrali and other prisons.

The European Committee and the Committee against Torture have responsibilities in the matter of Imrali. Human rights organizations in Turkey and the Parliament’s Prison Committee should visit Imrali and other prisons to investigate and share the results of this visit to the public. No information was received from Imrali, and this raises concerns and doubts about the life and health of Imrali.  Leader Ocalan is with the Kurdish people and his family.

 Everyone who says I'm "human" has to act

 All prisoners in Imrali and other prisons are the honor and dignity of the Kurdish people. The oppression and torture in Imrali is against the Kurdish people in general. The Kurdish people are waging a relentless struggle against the system of isolation and torture in Imrali. This struggle must be escalated more and more, and end the isolation in Imrali and the oppression in prisons.  Likewise, the Kurdish people and their friends, and every person with a conscience and conscience who describes himself as a human being, must move against the isolation in Imrali and the oppression in prisons.”
