Al-Abed: We agree on Syrian lands’ unity

In a meeting with our agency, al-Abed urged Russia to play a positive role in mediating between Damascus Government and the Autonomous Administration in order to find a solution to the Syrian crisis.

"We call on the Russian Federation to fulfill its duty by putting pressure on the Damascus Government in order for there to be a serious dialogue between the Autonomous Administration and the Damascus Government," al-Abed said.

Regarding the Autonomous Administration's vision of a solution, al-Abed said, "We in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, since the beginning of its establishment, have been working on the unity of the Syrian ranks, but within a Syrian constitution that preserves the rights of all components without excluding any component, whether in northeastern Syria or in Syria in general."

Al-Abed reiterated the position of the Autonomous Administration that adheres to a political solution through the Syrian Democratic Council and the Autonomous Administration, through the Syrian dialogue within the Syrian geography, away from Geneva and European and regional capitals.

Al-Abed pointed out that there are common denominators that can be built on with the Damascus Government, saying, "We agree on Syrian's sovereignty, but there are some details that we need to correct." He added, "The most important points that should be included in the dialogue are among the basics for the people, such as education, health, ownership bonds, and opening crossings such as the Tal Kojchar Crossing, which is a primary goal for north and east Syria and inside Syria."

Al-Abed continued in the same context, "We believe that Geneva did not lead to serious peaceful solutions to the Syrian crisis. As for NE, Syria, which was far from all these discussions and did not participate in them, the privacy of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Internal Security Forces at the level of Syria in general must be taken into account." And within the Syrian constitution that will be prepared in the future.
