In an interview with ANHA commenting on the call made by Co-chair of KCK Cemil Bayik for a reconciliation between the Syrian government and the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria Qaftan said such a bid would terminate the Turkish occupation of Syrian lands.

KCK's Cemil Bayik in an interview with the Lebanese paper al-Nahar said '' the best way is a reconciliation between the AANES and the Damascus Government''.

''we in NES have always approaching all Syrian parts whether the government in Damascus or the opposition saying that no solution could be reached without an intra- Syrian dialogue. Three rounds in this arena were convened but the Damascus government did not respond positively to the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria'', Qaftan said, adding Syria's Future Party, Syrian Democratic Council and the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria are all adopting the call made by KCK advocating a dialogue between  Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and the Damascus government stressing it is the best solution.

Qaftan said ''Turkey accuses any Kurdish part that calls for its rights of connection with the Kurdistan Workers' Party, but in the Syrian issue this is not true for the Syrian Democratic Forces are Syrian ones representing all components. Even the  Syria's Future Party was accused of links to the Kurdistan Workers' Party but this is untrue. These peoples recognized that pluralism and decentralization based on democracy is the solution that would strengthen Syria and all Syrians and would result in the termination of the Turkish occupation of Syrian territories''.

Qaftan noted that the Turkish state does not want any rapprochement between the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and the Syrian government merely to prolong the crisis from which it benefits for any reconciliation would result in its exit from the Syrian lands.

''undoubtedly, the partnership between Kurds and Arabs is a deeply rooted one, in Syria and other countries, since the prime days of Islam up to the struggle against the French and the construction of the Syrian Republic. This is based on citizenships and patriotism, this is not something newly born. Many powers seek to untie this partnership and advocate nationalist or religious orientation foremost the Turkish state.

At the end Qaftan laid stress on the idea of the ''democratic nation saying the Arabs are well convinced that they could not live without other components. It is not important who developed the AANES, a Kurd, an Arab or a Turk, the important point is it serves all Syrians. We highly evaluate these ideas advocated by philosopher Abdullah Ocalan. A lot of Arabs adopted Marxism or capitalism now there is no problem to adopt this thought for we merely do not consecrate figures rather ideas'', he said.
