Health Body: 55 thousand vaccines not enough to curb virus

Due to the increase in daily deaths and cases of the Covid-19 pandemic a curfew was imposed in NES in addition to precautionary and preemptive measures.

In coordination with the Kurdish Red Crescent an understanding was reached with the WHO to deliver vaccines into the NES. Deputy Co-chair of the Health Body of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Doctor Mahmoud Abdullah said ''up to date, 50 000 vaccines have been delivered to NES'', adding they are not quite enough to curb the outbreak of the virus''. 

Mahmoud said that 15 medical centers in North Eastern Syrian are specified for vaccination people'', noting that all cardiovascular and diabetes patients have been vaccinated''.

Mahmoud said there is a coordination between the medical cadres and the Crisis Cell to meet all necessary needs of locals to open bakeries and markets for limited hours, calling at the end on people to abide to all concerned decisions passed.
