Shami: Serious indications that occupied Afrin transformed into safe shelter for extremists

 The media center of the Syrian Democratic Forces published a press release by the director of the center, Farhad Shami, in which he said:

 Numerous reports received during the past few weeks regarding the movements of the organization (Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham) in the occupied area of ​​Afrin, confirmed that the leaders of the organization toured the Yazidi village of Basufan (south of Afrin), as well as the districts of Jindires and Şiye, Sheikh Al-Hadid, in addition to the city of Azaz and the countryside of Al-Bab and met the leaders of  Turkey's mercenary factions.

 Shami added: "According to confirmed information, (Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham) has established a military point for it in the village of Basofan and many occupied areas in the south and west of Afrin, and it is moving in other areas with symbols and documents of the (Syrian Front) faction, as well as it is close to the agreement.  With the faction (Suleiman Shah Brigade - Al-Amshat) to exchange roles in the Shih/Sheikh Al-Hadid district and Jindires district."

 Shami stressed, "The concentration of terrorists (Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham) who is classified as terrorist in Afrin, along with international reports that confirmed the involvement of other groups linked to Turkey (Ahrar al-Sharqiya) in the recruitment of ISIS mercenaries who previously fled the battles in north and east Syria, are all serious indications of diverting the occupied areas.  Especially Afrin, to a safe environment for extremist organizations and a starting point for planning and implementing terrorist acts on the Syrian and international arena.
