Afrin IDPs to ENKS: We not to return to Afrin with your، Turkish occupation presence

 In response to the calls made by the leaders and officials of the Kurdish National Council (ENKS), which is based in the largest Turkish city (Istanbul), for the return of the displaced to their homes under the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, the displaced of Afrin rejected this return.

At the behest of Turkish intelligence, the Kurdish National Council continues to distort the facts and promote the return to the occupied canton of Afrin, by polishing the image of the occupation and its mercenaries, with the aim of undermining the will of the displaced and subjugating them to the occupier.

 Day after day, the situation is getting worse inside the occupied canton through the increase in the number of kidnappings, murders, torture and extortion against the indigenous people with the aim of collecting money, not to mention the long-term malicious scheme and policy practiced by the Turkish occupation state to change the demographics of the region and annex it to Turkey land.

 The largest part of these crimes was committed against women, as the number of abducted women during August reached more than 15 women, including at least five minors.

In this context, a number of Afrin IDPs living in Sardam camp, located in the village of Tal Sawsan, which is affiliated to Al-Ahdath sub-district in Al-Shahba canton, spoke to our agency.

Hassan Othman, warned all the displaced in al-Shahba, saying: "Our people in al-Shahba should be aware of the danger of returning to Afrin with the presence of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, because they are setting a trap for us, and the people should raise the pace of resistance and steadfastness in the face of Turkey and its ploys."

 Death and kidnapping are an inevitable fate awaiting every return

 During his speech, Othman indicated that they are aware of the reality of what is happening on the ground in occupied Afrin, adding: "We are fully aware that everyone who returns to Afrin will be kidnapped or killed because life is unbearable there, as the fate of thousands of abductees is still unknown."

 Othman considered this policy being practiced on the ground as a continuation of the same conspiracy that was hatched against the people of Afrin during the Turkish aggression against the occupied canton by forcibly displacing all the people to al-Shahba canton, (in reference to the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries), this time with the participation of the Kurdish National Council (ENKS), with the aim of emptying the al-Shahba areas.”

Returning under international guarantees

Othman concluded his speech, expressing his preference for resistance over returning to occupied Afrin, saying: "If there is a return, it must be with international guarantees without the presence of the occupation and its mercenaries."

 Khadija Alloush joined him in rejecting this return, and said: "We refuse to return to Afrin with the presence of the Turkish occupation and terrorist groups in Afrin, and everyone must realize this, and instead we must continue our resistance until the liberation."

 'ENKS must know that there is no going back for us with the occupation'

 In her speech, she stressed that "the Kurdish National Council (ENKS) should know very well that there is no return with your presence and the occupation because you did not differ from them," explaining that the Council is repeatedly trying to exploit the displaced people of Afrin in al-Shahba.

 Khadija Alloush denounced the policies of the Kurdish National Council (ENKS) in deceiving the displaced, saying, "Those who call the people to Afrin have not seen the crimes and violations committed against women, children and the elderly?"  She called on the Council to retreat and withdraw its hand from the hand of the Turkish occupation.

 For his part, Muhammad Khalil preferred the difficult conditions in the camp in al-Shahba rather than returning to the occupied Afrin, the land and homeland of the ancestors.

Khalil Muhajiri warned Afrin not to return or be drawn into the ploys of the Kurdish National Council, which operates under the direct order of Turkish intelligence.

 The Kurdish National Council cannot protect itself, so how can it protect us?

 Khalil went on to ask, "The Kurdish National Council cannot protect itself from Turkey's mercenaries in Afrin, so how can it protect the people?"  He added, "If ENKS was serious about this, why could he not open an office for him in Afrin and raise his flag there?"

 "We want a free Afrin, not occupied by Turkey," Khalil said, adding: "The fate of everyone who returns is either kidnapping or death, because there is no one who can protect his honor and dignity and live in dignity among them."

 Muhammad Khalil concluded his speech by calling on the displaced to adhere to the line of resistance and not be affected by the private war to live a free and dignified life.
