Karasû: Shengal attacks against Yazidis to implement 9 October Agreement 

The statements of member of the Leadership Committee of the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK), Mustefa Karasû, came during an interview on Medya Haber TV, published by the Furat News Agency.

At the beginning of his speech, Mustefa Karasû drew attention to the "Time for Freedom" campaign that completed the year, and said: "We want to strengthen this campaign and liberate our people and our leader. Of course, the people are sensitive to this issue, and there is participation from the four parts of Kurdistan."

He continued, "This campaign will escalate even stronger, and its goal is to break the isolation and ensure the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, which is not the cause of the Kurdish people only and the cause of the peoples of the Middle East, but the cause of the peoples of the whole world"

He declared that this campaign had put the struggle against fascism on the agenda and said: "Now; Everyone says that the AKP is too weak and, on the verge of collapse, the opposition must be strengthened against the fascism of the Justice and Development parties and the Nationalist Movement, the democratic forces, the Kurdish people, the workers and women who reject the authority of the AKP and this is visible. "

Mustefa Karasû, describing the Guerilla Resistance against the occupiers since 23^rd, April, as part of the "It's Time for Freedom" campaign, said: "The Government of the AKP and the Nationalist Movement directly attack the Kurd and the democratic forces. The struggle against this Government continues politically, militarily, culturally and socially. This struggle must produce an outcome, because we face fascism, which uses all methods and ways of its attacks. In the face of this, the democratic forces and the Kurdish people must use all their methods and fight against the fascism of the Justice and Development and Nationalist Movement parties. "

He drew attention to the fact that "the Turkish occupation attacks on Shengal are not new. On many occasions, Shengal was attacked. In the face of these attacks, neither Iraq, the PDK, the United Nations nor America controlled the airspace, nor even rejected them. This is why these attacks are legalized and whenever Turkey wants to launch them, and these attacks are the result of the 9 October Agreement between Iraq and the PDK, which is to forcibly subject the Yazidi to the Agreement, as if they say (either accept this Agreement or you will be bombed by the Turkish state).

If the PDK and Iraq do not stand up to these attacks, they use Turkey to implement this agreement, Turkey's attacks are used as blackmail, something that comes to one's mind at the beginning. Of course, Kazemi said a few days before the attack that the agreement must be implemented, it's unfortunate that this attack took place when Kazemi went there, which means that Iraq must stand up against this thing and show its rejection. Shengal is part of Iraq, and during the Prime Minister's visit to Shengal, the latter is being bombed. This is a direct attack against Kazemi and a cowardly attack not only against the Shengal people, but against the Iraqis as a whole. "

He explained that carrying out the attack in this manner and during Kazemi's visit was serious: "Basically, the absence of a position and silence of the PDK against this attack is a more serious situation, and this silence means that this attack is normal."

He stated that the KDP's position on Shengal should be evaluated, and said, "The KDP sees the Yazidis who love the leader Ocalan as enemies, and targets them, describing them as 'outlaw forces.' Shengal Resistance Units are the Yazidi people, and they have been trained. By the People's Defense Forces HPG, the People’s Protection Units, the Free Women’s Units-Star and they are the Yazidis Protection Forces, well, what did those forces do...? it liberated Shengal from ISIS, now the KDP is standing against this thing, tens of thousands of Yazidis who have been liberated from ISIS, by this force, live in camps controlled by the Kurdistan Democratic Party and does not accept sending them to Shengal as if there is an illegal force, on the grounds that it obstructs the Shengal Resistance Units who liberated the Yazidis from the massacre, how can it obstruct the return of the Yazidis to Shengal, if they remain alive until now, thanks to the People's Defense Forces and the People's Protection Units, it is now criminalizing these forces, why...?Because they love leader Ocalan and the Guerrilla Fighters and sympathize with them, they will certainly love those who freed them from the massacres, and they will sympathize with leader Ocalan, because he said before the massacre that the Yazidis must be protected, the Yazidis know the leader’s sensitivity towards them and their value to him, and that is why the KDP is antagonizing them, and he is not satisfied with that, but rather makes them a target for the Turkish state by saying that the Kurdistan Workers Party and the People 's Defense Forces are there and that they are not forces legitimacy and this is what makes the Turkish occupation bomb them and say, “I am not attacking the Yazidis and the Kurdish people, but the PKK.” Attacking civilians is a big crime and the KDP is silent. It is clear that this party is a partner in these attacks, and if it is not a partner, then let it stand against it ".

According to Mustefa Karasû, states that do not stand in the way of Turkish State attacks on Shengal have no meaning in recognizing the genocide of Yazidis: "If it is said that there is genocide, then Yazidi must be recognized so that they can manage themselves, Yazidis must be protected by law, Shengal is now the center of Yazidi, they are attacked every day, why not fall out of your silence." Europe, the United States and the United Nations must show the right position on this issue.

In the matter of the Yazidis, there is a responsibility that rests on everyone. All humanity is responsible for the Yazidis. In the eyes of the world, the Yazidis were subjected to extermination. Five thousand women are still held captive by the terrorist organization ISIS. How can this issue not be on the agenda? If there were five thousand English, German, American or any other people captive to ISIS, wouldn't it have been on their agenda...? And if public opinion would adopt that...? When it comes to the Yazidis and the Kurds, they remain silent, we understand that they are defending their interests in this matter, but they cannot put their interests aside on the issue of Shengal, and solidarity with the few thousand remaining people of the oldest belief in the world.

Recalling that the Yazidi people have been subjected to genocide throughout history, he said: "If the Yazidi work hard and unite, they will be able to assert their independence and self-determination, and all States will recognize the genocide to which they have been subjected throughout history. As such, they can ensure their own management and self-determination, so they must work hard, they must maintain their unity, regardless of their political views, and the party to which they belong, set aside their differences and set aside their differences

The Kurds need to work harder to defeat the fascism of the AKP and the MHP, and everyone should realize that preserving the achievements of the Kurdish people in Southern Kurdistan and Rojava and resolving the Kurdish issue throughout the Middle East lies in defeating the AKP and MHP fascism. Therefore, the Kurds must show all their positions against the fascism of the Justice and Development Party and the Nationalist Movement Party, and if they do not do so, they will fall into a dilemma, because they show a non-uniform position in the struggle against fascism. If the Kurds show a unified position, the duration of the power of the Justice and Development Party and the Nationalist Movement Party will be shortened and it will soon collapse, and this murderous mentality will be defeated. It will also open the door to a democratic solution to the Kurdish issue in Northern Kurdistan."

Commenting on the Afghan scene, Mustefa Karasû, member of the Leadership Committee of the Kurdistan Communities Union, commented: "The United States has reached an agreement with the Taliban, the Taliban has made some promises to the United States, and in this way American troops have withdrawn from Afghanistan. The United States has taken this step to engage China, Iran and Russia with the threat of Taliban presence in the region. Taking into consideration that the Taliban are affecting Muslim communities here, it has developed such a plan to create problems for them. The United States created this movement. Of course, the Taliban will not be a direct problem for Iran, Russia and China, because these countries will seek to consolidate their power, but the Taliban's presence will affect them. The presence of the Taliban has become is core of Turkish state gangs in Idlib. No one expects there to be peace anytime soon. The neighboring forces of Afghanistan are essentially against the United States, so the latter took this step and withdrew from Afghanistan and allowed the Taliban to return to a quorum to pose a threat to these forces

The Taliban are now being promoted by the AKP and Erdogan. Turkey and its President Erdogan laid the foundations for ISIS. Now he's trying to use the airport and impose his dominance, and he's probably going to use the airport to trade heroin.

Member of the Leadership Committee of the Kurdistan Communities Union System, Mustefa Karasû, assessed Bashar al-Assad's statements about the regime in Syria: "We welcome this statement, and we support such statements, of course, such statements do not resolve the issue in Syria absolutely, but they are very important. In our view, the Kurd in Rojava and the AANES encourage this statement, because such statements constitute an important ground for the beginning of a solution in Syria, a solution that can only be implemented by Syrians themselves. Today there is a special model, one in which Arabs, Kurds and Syriacs have all become the same, so if there is such a change in the current administration, the problem can be solved. He said: "The current regime in Syria is well aware that it is not possible to return until before 2011, because return invalidates the solution to the Syrian crisis. We therefore believe that the regime must see some facts, see the reality of the current Syrian administration, change itself, agree with all Syrian components and start a new phase. Hopefully this will happen.
