30 civilians martyred, 67 injuring in 835 Turkish attacks on Manbij city

On Sunday, Media Center of the Manbij Military Council (MMC) published a 5-year statistic of the attacks and shelling operations that are carried out by the Turkish occupation army and its gangs on the northern and western villages of Manbij.

The publication of the statistic coincides with the 5^th anniversary of the liberation of Manbij, where today the people of Manbij celebrate the anniversary of their liberation from ISIS by the Manbij Military Council and the Syrian Democratic Forces in August 2016.

According to the statistics, the Turkish occupation targeted, from its bases, the "demilitarized zone on the Sajour line and west of the city of Manbij 835 times."

It pointed out that the warplanes carried out 4 raids in addition to 3 strikes from the UAVs on the Arima front, which led to the casualties of civilians.

It added, "The populated villages are still subjected to daily bombardment, which endangers the lives of civilians as well as livestock, as well as the destruction of homes and targeting of agricultural lands, in which neither stones nor plants were safe from the shelling, as the report documents the fall of 2,900 shells of various types of weapons."

It pointed out that "the bombing hit 273 times the populated villages by 115 shells, while there is no end in sight for this tragic reality to change for the better, without the presence of any legal or humanitarian deterrent, and amid international silence."

The report issued by the Manbij Military Council’s Media Center also documented the loss of 30 lives, including children and women, while 67 people sustained various injuries, some of which caused permanent physical and psychological disabilities. The documentation also included the destruction of a school and mosque in the village of Um Adasas, north of Manbij.

Media Center of the Manbij Military Council said that since the liberation of Manbij, "and after five years of being under the control of ISIS, the other face of terrorism is renewed in Manbij, this time at the hands of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, which do not hesitate to repeat the war with crimes and continuous violations."

It added, "Fearing that the democratic nation's project will succeed in Manbij in particular and the regions of north and east Syria in general, daily violations of all kinds continue on all fronts of battle."
