AANES officially opens a representative office in Switzerland

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria inaugurated today, Monday, within an official ceremony, its diplomatic representation in the city of Geneva in the Swiss Confederation.

The opening ceremony is attended by representatives of the government and Swiss and Syrian politicians, in addition to representatives of civil society organizations interested in the Syrian situation.

Where Badran Çiy Kurd, Vice-President of the co-presidency of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, opened the ceremony with a welcoming speech in which he said: "In the beginning, I congratulate the peoples of north and east Syria, especially the martyrs and their families who gave their lives until we reached this stage, and I extend my thanks to everyone who Contribute to the success of this step.

Çiya Kurd continued his speech by addressing the opening of the administration's representation in Switzerland by saying: "This step comes in order to develop relations between us and the Swiss government and people, and this representation will serve as a bridge between us. It is necessary to represent the Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces everywhere, as these forces sacrificed a lot to consolidate global stability and security through the war on ISIS over successive years. The terrorism represented by ISIS has become a strategic embargo on the region and the world, and therefore we need international efforts to end it.

He added, "Our representation in Switzerland will serve as a powerful tool to support the gains of our peoples."

It is noteworthy that the representative of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria in Europe had announced today, through a statement, the official opening of a representative office in Geneva, in the Republic of the Swiss Confederation. She stressed that the aim is to build a bridge of relations between the components of northern Syria and Switzerland, the government and the people.
