Citizens stress need to stand together to repel Turkish attacks on NE Syria

Citizens considered that the continuous Turkish attacks on north and east Syria aim to empty the region of its indigenous inhabitants and make a demographic change in preparation for dividing the region and annexing it to the political borders of the Turkish state.

The areas of north and east Syria are exposed almost daily to the attacks of Turkey and its mercenaries after the occupation of Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî between 2018-2019.

The populated villages and areas on the lines of contact with the Turkish occupation witness almost daily shelling with heavy weapons and missiles, causing human and financial damage.

The latest of these attacks was the massacre committed against a family consisting of a father and three children in Ain Issa, and before that, a Turkish drone targeting cars carrying civilians in Kobane, in addition to bombarding villages, schools and civilian homes in the areas of Zarkan and Tel Tamr.

Citizen Ez Eddin Ayoub from ad-Darbasiyah city says, "Turkey's goal of targeting our areas is to occupy the region and empty it of Kurds along the Syrian border and expand its borders at the expense of the Kurdish people."

Ayoub continued, "Turkey is trying in any way to restore its authority over the region as it was during the days of the Turanian Ottoman Empire in the name of the Islamic religion," confirming that "Erdogan should not dream of occupying the region, he is not from the region, he is an occupier who came from Mongolia.

He explained the reason why Turkey targeted Kurds "is that the ruling regime in Turkey is afraid of Kurds who demand their rights in the territories of Kurdistan occupied by several countries, one of which is Turkey. Therefore, it is working to exterminate the Kurdish people to stop demanding their rights."

Ayoub pointed out, "Turkey is fighting Kurds under the slogan of Islam when it occupied the areas of Rojava, displaced its people, plundered its wealth and the homes of its people, and uprooted trees, as happened in Afrin."

Ez Eddin Ayoub asked what are these laws that Erdogan is working on on the Kurds' lands? He added, "He is displacing Kurds from their homes and settling people from Damascus Ghouta, Aleppo and Idlib in their place. Is this a president? He is the head of a gang that rules Turkey"

He demanded the Kurdish people to stand united in the face of Turkish Turanism and said, "The Kurdish people must liberate Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî."

In his turn, Menis Khalil Mohamed, from Chol Bestan village in ad-Darbasiyah district, said, "Turkey is an occupying country and through its brutal attacks, it is working to occupy our lands and expand its ambitions at our expense."

Mohamed pointed out that the attacks target civilians, "All Turkish attacks on Rojava areas target civilians directly, as happened several days ago in the villages of Tel Tamr."

Mohamed said that "Turkey is trying to draw the attention of its people to its foreign wars to cover up the Turkish inland which is witnessing sit-ins and a severe economic crisis, as well as political opposition to his rule in order to preserve positions and chairs."

Menis pointed out that Turkey targets the security and safety of the region "North-east Syria is one of the safest areas in Syria in terms of security, stability and the reality of living, unlike the opposition areas or the areas under the control of the Syrian government, so Turkey and its armed factions do not like this."

Citizen Raad Khalil said, "The Turkish occupation state does not accept Kurds in any way, so Kurds must join their ranks because their strength lies in unity."

He urged the need to push forward the Kurdish negotiations by the political forces and parties to stand up to the schemes targeting the Kurdish people.
