​​​​​​​Internal Security reveals shocking truth about Roken Mahmoud's murder on Abyad road

Today, the Media Center of the Internal Security Forces in North East Syria published a statement to the public opinion, in which it revealed the circumstances of the crime. The statement stated:

"On the 7^th of last July, a murder took place against Mrs."“Roken Mahmoud" on Abyad road between the cities of Raqqa and Hasakah, and reports spread on social media about the circumstances of the murder of the late "Roken Mahmoud" that the victim, her children and her brother were subjected to an armed terrorist robbery, which led to her death.

During the follow-up and investigations that lasted for several days, the testimony of the Roken's brother was taken by the crime control in Raqqa, the information and evidence that the crime control had collected from the scene of the murder, in addition to reviewing the surveillance cameras and after several hours of investigation with the brother of the victim, it has been found out that she was killed by him after planning the killing that lasted for ten days to show the public opinion that it was an armed robbery after he took his slain sister from the city of Raqqa towards Hasakah on Abyad road, on the pretext of their father's illness and then killed her and shot himself in the foot in Badia, claiming to our security forces that an armed group carried out the attack on them to steal money.

We in the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria note to our people, and the public opinion not to be drawn into rumors and false news on social media that seek to sow chaos.

We also call for the adoption of the official website of our forces as a source that reflects the reality on issues related to their security, and we renew the pledge to protect the people and hold accountable all those who tamper with their security and stability achieved with the blood of our martyrs."
