Joseph Lahdo calls on international community to recognize AANES, Damascus to enter dialogue

Joseph Lahdo stressed that the only way to solve the Syrian crisis is the Autonomous Administration project implemented in north and east Syria, calling on the international community to recognize the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, and Damascus for dialogue to resolve the Syrian crisis.

Over the past ten years, the Syrian crisis has worsened year after year without solutions to this crisis, which has burdened the Syrian people. Many local politicians and diaspora attribute the reason for the prolonging of the crisis to the intransigence of the Damascus government, which refuses to participate and refuses dialogue with all Syrian parties.

The project of the AANES is the only solution to the Syrian crisis because it encourages pluralism and decentralization and depends on the participation of all components.

In a meeting with our agency, the Vice-President of the Joint Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Joseph Lahdo, called on "the Syrian people to determine their fate and touch the path of salvation by uniting their views to end racism, and to democratize Syria through the Autonomous Administration project."

Lahdo criticized the Damascus government's closure of the means of dialogue, in this way it prolongs the Syrian crisis, from which all the Syrian people hope to get rid of."

Lahdo added, "What the Syrian people of all sects are asking for is an end to the Syrian crisis, which has stifled the Syrian people since its outbreak and displaced millions."

Lahdo stressed, "The project works on basic principles, most notably, is the unification of the peoples of the region without exclusion for any component in the region, for any nationality or sect."

Lahdo noted, "The AANES proposes solutions to the Syrian crisis, through decentralized democratic governance in which justice and equality prevail among all components, to advance the Syrian reality again."

'The nationalities in Syria must be recognized'

Lahdo demanded respect for national and religious diversity in Syria. "The nationalities in Syria must be recognized in general, because Syria is a diverse fabric so that the Syrian Republic is established to guarantee the rights of all components and to preserve Syria's land and people."

He praised the steps it had taken in the field of recognizing the rights of the components, "The Autonomous Administration did not marginalize any of the component's rights."

Lahdo added, "The Autonomous Administration was established with the help of the people of the region in general, after the elimination of ISIS mercenaries. It is based on the principle of partnership."

Lahdo called on the international community and the United Nations to recognize the project of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, considering it the only solution to end the Syrian crisis.

Lahdo concluded his speech by saying, "We call on the people of Syria first to recognize the Autonomous Administration because no matter how long the crises are, there must be solutions, and Autonomous Administration is the best solution to end the Syrian crisis."
