In remembrance of the painful massacres committed in the towns of Tel Hasel and Tel Aran in 2013 and the city of Qamishlo in 2016 in north and east Syria by Turkish mercenaries, and condemning the Turkish attacks that targeted villages and cities in north and east Syria yesterday evening, coordinator of Kongra Star in Rojava today issued a statement to the public opinion.

Its text stated:

"We in Kongra Star remember today this painful memory, the memory of Tel Hasel and Tel Aran towns' massacres in 2013, and the memory of the massacre committed in Qamishlo city in 2016 which claimed the lives of dozens of innocent civilians who were victims of the backwardness of a barbaric mentality, and the brutality of terrorist forces that do not accept democratic and human thought, and always seek to create strife and undermine security and stability in the region.

With the continued resistance of the people of north and east Syria against all these military, political and economic attacks resulting from the siege imposed on the region, and the Rojava Revolution entering its tenth year, the revolution that overthrew the terrorist forces supported by the Turkish state, these attacks are still ongoing, as the Turkish state launched yesterday an aerial bombardment on the villages adjacent to the towns of Tel Tamr and Zarkan (Dardara, Kozliya and Tawila), and the villages of al-Shahba, Sherawa and Tel Rifaat.

This attack, which was launched in conjunction with the approaching memory of the massacres committed during 2013 and 2016, only indicates the continuity of conspiracies and brutal attacks against the successes achieved under the Democratic Autonomous Administration, and the confusions experienced by Turkey as a country tasked with eliminating this democratic project that embraces the will of all peoples coexisting with each other in the areas.

We in Kongra Star commemorate our martyrs, the martyrs of these brutal massacres, and condemn in the strongest terms the attacks of the Turkish state and all its factions that occupy our cities in north and east Syria and encroach on the security and safety of our lands.

We pledge our martyrs to follow their footsteps and realize their hopes of coexistence in a region where peace and security prevail."
