Shaheen: Turkey wants to establish radical project in the area

The co-chair of the Executive Council in the Euphrates region, Mohammad Shaheen, indicated that the Turkish occupation state wants to establish an extremist project in the region, starting with the occupied areas in North and East Syria and reaching all regions of the Middle East, pointing to Turkey's attempts to revive the defunct Ottoman Empire.

Turkish occupation state continues to change the demographics of the occupied areas in North and East Syria in several ways, whether by settling the families of its mercenaries there, or by changing the landmarks and names of cities and changing the region's culture and history.

In another chapter of the demographic change of the occupied areas by the Turkish occupying state, the occupying Turkish forces in the occupied areas forcibly displaced the indigenous people from the city of Girê Spi/Tal Abyad from their homes and settled Afghan families in their homes.

Reports indicated that these families came via buses and entered Syrian territory through the crossings linking the country with Turkey, and settled them in some houses in the city, while preparing a number of other houses to receive another number of Afghan refugees.

"Since the beginning of Turkey's occupation of the Syrian regions, the goal was not to achieve the interests of the Syrian people. Rather, it was, and still is, the establishment of AKP's project to revive the old Ottoman Empire in new ways, starting with Syria and then the Middle East."

He pointed out that "Turkey wants to achieve its interests by using radical mercenaries and their families by displacing the indigenous people in every region it occupies, and then settling the families of its mercenaries in it in order to change the demographics of the region in all its forms, starting with changing the landmarks of the region, history and culture, and thus conducting the ethnic genocide in the occupied territories in general and the Kurdish areas in particular.

According to Mohammad Shaheen, Turkey wants to create a radical project in the region consisting of mercenaries so that it can rely on them and use them to fight long-term wars anywhere it likes, whether in the Middle East or in the world, to serve its interests, and that to achieve this, these mercenaries and their families must be protected and resettled in the occupied areas under the umbrella of the political protection of the Turkish state.

The co-chair of the Executive Council in the Euphrates region, Mohammad Shaheen, concluded his speech, noting the silence of the international community and human rights organizations claiming to protect human rights, which did not have a strict stance towards Turkish violations in the regions of North and East Syria.
