Murad Karayilan: States participated in Yazidis genocide must be held accountable

Murad Karayilan's speech, during a statement, came about the recognition of both Belgium and the Netherlands of the genocide to which the Yazidis were subjected.

Karayilan stressed the need to provide support to those affected in Shingal, "Our people are still displaced, and they need assistance and the reconstruction of Shingal. No one supports that. The countries, while recognizing the recognition, must work for these matters as well."

Karayilan stressed that the Yezidis should manage themselves by their own will, "The Yazidis need self-protection, and they demand that and also the formation of their own Autonomous Administration system, and this is their right, and it needs support and assistance to achieve this."

Member of the PKK's Executive Committee pointed out, "The Turkish state continues its attacks, and you should note that all the places that were attacked by ISIS, Turkey continues to attack them now, including Shingal, Afrin and whole Rojava."

He continued, "Weren't you a target of ISIS, why did you turn into a Turkish target too? The massacre by ISIS in Shingal is not far from Turkey, and it was a project they wanted to implement, and eradication Yazidis in full."

Murad Karayilan, in his speech, stressed that what Turkey is doing in Afrin is also genocide, and said, "The proportion of Kurds in Afrin was 95%, but now where are they, the Turkish state emptied the villages of their residents, and settled other people besides them, if this act is not a Genocide, what is it?

Karayilan called on the international community to recognize the genocide perpetrated by the Turkish occupation state in Afrin canton, "We see that the world and the major countries are silent about what is happening. The Turkish state recently committed horrible crimes, in Bakur Kurdistan (Northern Kurdistan) targeting all the shrines of our martyrs, and in Afrin it is also doing so."

Regarding the Turkish state's allegations of finding a "mass grave" in occupied Afrin, Karayilan said, "All these lies and actions, which the European countries, Russia and America among them are silent about, affirm their responsibility for them, and this is a disgrace to all of humanity."
