HPG announce killing 17 soldiers of occupation army

The Media Center of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG) issued a statement regarding the series of operations carried out by their forces against the Turkish occupation army this week.

The statement stated that 3 soldiers of the Turkish occupation army were killed in an operation carried out by the fighters of the Free Women's Unit - Star in the Kato region of Botan on the 3rd of this month.

The fighters of the People’s Defense Forces also carried out a military operation on the 4th of July against the forces of the Turkish occupation army in the Karsa areas of Siirt governorate. The operation targeted a Scorpion armored vehicle belonging to the Turkish occupation army, and the operation resulted in the destruction of the military vehicle and the killing of 10 members of the Turkish occupation army.

The statement added: "Within the framework of the campaign of the Revolutionary Battle of Khabour, on the 7th of July, the fighters of the people’s Defense Forces carried out a military operation against the Turkish occupation army in the mountains of Zandora, and the operation resulted in the killing of 3 elements of the occupation army and the wounding of two others, in addition to the destruction of two telescopes on the hill."

A member of the Turkish occupation army was also killed during an operation carried out by the HPG on the 7th of July in the hill of Martyr Intiqam.
