PYNK: Abdul Hakim Bashar's allegations justify Afrin occupation

Today, Kurdish National Unity Parties, the PYNK, issued a written statement to the public opinion, rejecting the statements of the so-called "Abdul Hakim Bashar" denying the Turkish occupation any violations and crimes against the occupied Afrin people.

In their statement, the parties said:

"Numerous media outlets have circulated a video showing Abdul Hakim Bashar head of the Kurdish Democratic Party of Syria, representative of the Kurdish National Council and vice-president of the so-called National Coalition of Revolutionary and Opposition Forces affiliated to the Turkish Regime, Abdul Hakim Bashar appears inside one of the Halls in Erbil Governorate, capital of KRG. In his speech, he categorically denied that there had been any crimes or violations against the people of Afrin, describing the situation there as mere lying and slander, and accusing the Syrian Democratic Forces of committing violations.

Kurdish National Unity Parties, the PYNK, also believes that the crimes against humanity and systematic violations committed against the Kurdish people with a view to displace the remaining Afrin people are not hidden to anyone. All these violations have been documented by competent international and local organizations, the attempts by the so-called "Abdul Hakim Bashar" to falsify the facts will not in fact change anything and the camps in al-Shahba area, and the camps in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, and the cities and towns of north and east Syria, which are densely populated by the displaced Afrinians are irrefutable evidences.

Kurdish National Unity Parties "PYNK" affirm the right of the people of the Afrin region to a dignified and safe return to their city and villages, in accordance with international sponsorship and guarantees. They also emphasize the need for the Turkish-backed extremist armed factions to leave and for the return of all Syrian displaced persons to their places of origin. "PYNK" rejects attempts to impose Turkification and bring about demographic change in areas that occupied by Turkey, which "Abdul Hakim Bashar" and his partners are trying to justify and legitimize by denying and beautifying the reality of the situation and inviting the people of Afrin to return without any clear agreed plan and without guarantees to achieve a single goal which is to legitimize the Turkish occupation of the Afrin region

Kurdish National Unity Parties “PYNK”, while rejecting such positions and putting many question marks aside, call on the “Kurdish Democratic Party - Syria PDKS” and “Kurdish National Council in Syria ENKS” partner in the Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue process to clarify its position towards this behavior and expressing opinion towards this position issued by one of its representatives, and the Kurdish National Unity Parties “PYNK” affirm their commitment to the principle of Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue and realize its importance.”
