Turkish occupation targets Sherawa district inflicting damages to civilians’ homes

Yesterday, in the late evening hours, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries re-targeted the villages of Sherawa district, the last of which was the village of Khiribka, where the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries stationed in the occupied areas targeted the aforementioned village with 5 rocket-propelled grenades.

The occupation’s shelling of the village of Khiribka focused on the vicinity of the village school, in which dozens of the displaced from Afrin and the displaced people of the village of Sogankeh live.

The shelling of the Turkish occupation caused physical damage to the homes of the residents of the village.

In this regard, a number of people in the village of Khiribka spoke about the direct bombardment that targeted civilians in the village.

Citizen Shukran Sheikho, an Afrin IDP, said that we left Afrin because of the bombing of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, which directly targeted civilians at the time.

Shukran continued her speech, that the Turkish occupation has not been satisfied with displacing civilians from their homes, but also targeted us in the villages of Sherawa district again.

Shukran confirmed that the Turkish occupation army targeted civilian homes, around 11 p.m., causing physical damage to civilian homes.

Shukran denounced the silence of humanitarian and human rights organizations regarding the almost daily and intense shelling of the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries against the displaced people of Afrin and the indigenous people in Sherawa district.

Shukran indicated during her speech that the occupation shells will not be able to undermine their will and resistance, and that they are determined to resist until Afrin is liberated.

For his part, Walid Maamo, a resident of the village of Sogankeh, said that due to the Turkish shelling of the village of Sogankeh, he was forced to resort to the school of the village of Khiribka.

Mamo confirmed that the Turkish occupation shelled the villages of Sherawa district on a daily basis, directly targeting civilians, as dozens of Sherawa district residents lost their lives due to the continuous bombardment of those villages.

It is noteworthy that the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries committed a massacre against an entire family of three people last year, in the village of Aqiba in Sherawa district, and a number of other civilians were wounded.

As for the citizen, Amina Hassan, said that she has been displaced three times since the occupation of the city of Afrin by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries.

In her speech, Amina wondered, "What sin have we committed to be targeted on a daily basis by the Turkish occupation and the international community is silent about that!
