Noura Al-Hamid: Turkey is behind kidnapping members of AANES, PYD

On June 10, the KDP security forces kidnapped the representative of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and two members of the Democratic Union Party’s public relations while they were on their way to Hewler Airport to receive guests.

On this issue, the co-chair of the Executive Council in Manbij, Noura Al-Hamid, said, "The kidnapping of representatives of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and members of the Democratic Union Party at Hewler Airport is an inhumane act, and it indicates violation of human rights anywhere."

Noura considered that the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s behavior is a violation of international treaties and covenants that aim at human freedom anywhere in the world.

Noura continued, "The policy of the Kurdistan Democratic Party is hostile to the Autonomous Administration in the regions of North and East Syria through their arrest of these individuals and not revealing their place."

She said that the Kurdistan Democratic Party follows the policy imposed by the Turkish state; the policy of arrest, violence, extermination and suppression of freedom and the free will of peoples.

Al-Hamid condemned "these actions against representatives of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria," and called on the concerned authorities to pressure the Kurdistan Regional Government to reveal their fate and release them.

The deputy co-chair of the Executive Council in Manbij confirmed, "every person must exercise their right wherever they are, as they serve the people of the region and serve the democratic project."
