Fahima Hamo: "Coalition" has turned into mercenary tool that serves Turkey's expansionist agendas

Member of the Presidential Council in the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), Fahima Hamo, said that the so-called "non-national" Syrian coalition has turned into a transient mercenary tool that serves the Turkish occupation state, calling on the opposition to move towards dialogue to solve the Syrian crisis.

In his statements last week, Head of the so-called "Syrian Coalition" Nasr al-Hariri called on the Turkish occupation state to intervene militarily alongside the mercenaries of the so-called "National Army" in Tel Rifaat, Manbij and all Syrian regions. These statements were met with popular indignation by the Syrian people as a clear betrayal of the real owners of the land, and the call was rejected at all levels.

On this subject and the details of the recent statements made by Head of the so-called coalition and their repercussions on the Syrian arena, ANHA held an interview with Member of the Presidential Council in the Syrian Democratic Council, Fahima Hamo, who indicated at the beginning of her speech that the positions of the so-called Syrian coalition are "shameful" towards the Syrian people.

She considered that the formation of the coalition which she described as "non-national", according to the declared goals came in its beginning to defend the rights of the Syrian people in light of the Syrian crisis.

She continued, "But what we saw on the ground was contrary to the principles on which this coalition was formed. We saw how it was completely dependent on the Turkish embrace and became the first assistant and defender of the Turkish policies that are taking place against the peoples of the region, "a mercenary, not patriot army."

On the Turkish policies in the region, Fahima Hamo commented that it is "an expansionist policy targeting the history and existence of the peoples of the region, and the occupation of Syrian lands is the best evidence of what is being reported. Turkey has occupied the Syrian regions with the support of the so-called National Army which is in fact non-national but a mercenary, as it does not represent the Syrian people's will and aspirations.

Regarding Turkey's use of the mercenaries of the so-called "Syrian National Army" in the service of its policies, Fahima Hamo indicated that Turkey occupied "the Syrian north via these mercenaries, and the Turkish regime used them to ensure its interests, whether in Libya or the Karabakh region, and the latest media reports indicated that Turkey directed these mercenaries to launch attacks on the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. The coalition is Turkey's expansionist tool.

Member of the Presidential Council in SDC pointed out that "the occupied areas have become almost an arena for kidnapping, killing and destruction of infrastructure and all methods that are not accepted by humanity before the international community and representatives of the coalition who are watching the violations that affect the Syrian people on a daily basis."

Dialogue... the best solution

Fahima Hamo continued, "We, as true representatives of the Syrian people, insist that we have a will and a goal that is achieved through dialogues because dialogue is the only way to solve the crisis that the country has been going through for nearly ten years." She also called on the so-called coalition to desist from serving the enemies of the Syrian people and the occupiers of its lands. She also called on all the opposition parties to meet around the negotiating table to find a solution that serves the Syrian people by preserving their legitimate rights.
