PYD Women's Committee denounced the arrest of representatives of the Autonomous Administration and PYD in Hewlêr, and called on the PDK not to be drawn behind Turkish occupation schemes through which it seeks to create discord among the Kurds themselves.

Denouncing the Turkish attacks on Başûr Kurdistan and the complicity of the PDK with the Turkish occupation and its arrest of representatives of the Autonomous Administration and the Democratic Union Party in Hewlêr, today the Women's Committee of the PYD in Qamishlo city issued a statement to public opinion.

The statement was deliver in Kurdish and Arabic by members of the Democratic Union Party, Delshad Shawesh and Ibtisam Al-Hussein, in front of the party building in Qamishlo city.

The statement noted that "the Turkish State has continued to carry out attacks against each of the Zap, Avaşîn and Metîna zones of legitimate defence since the previous April 23rd, in order to eliminate the Kurdish movement of the People's Defence Forces HPG."

The statement made clear: "Turkey seeks to occupy Southern Kurdistan through its attacks, and these attacks are not new, so from time to time it is targeting a region and setting points for it in the territory of Southern Kurdistan to expand its geography, fully occupy the area and take away its indigenous people."

The statement continued: "Turkey uses internationally banned chemical weapons in its attacks on Guerilla Forces, targeting unarmed civilians as well as cutting and looting nature in Southern Kurdistan."

The statement stressed that the Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK) should not be drawn behind Turkish schemes, through which it sought to cause discord among the Kurds themselves.

The statement denounced the Turkish attacks on legitimate defence zones and the geography of Southern Kurdistan, the arrest by the PDK of representatives of the Democratic Union Party PYD, noted that the detention was in the interest of the Turkish State, and denounced the denial of entry by the PDK to delegations from abroad in order to serve the Kurdish cause and unite the Kurdish row. "

The statement called on "the people of Southern Kurdistan to confront and stand up to the Turkish occupation to preserve the land and dignity of Kurdistan," stressing their support for the resistance of the Guerilla Forces in the Kurdistan Mountains.
