Fatush Koksungur: Those who welcomed mercenaries on red carpet prevented peace demanders

Co-chair of the Democratic Society Conference, Fatush Koksungur, said that the Kurdistan Democratic Party legitimizes the Turkish state's attacks, adding, "It welcomes Syrian mercenaries on the red carpet, while prevents the Kurdish from making a statement."

Co-chair of the Democratic Society Conference, Fatush Koksungur, spoke to Hawar news agency about the activities of the Kurdish people in Europe, their position against the Kurdistan Democratic Party and efforts to go to Southern Kurdistan.

Fatush Koksungur began her speech by saying, "The government of Southern Kurdistan receives Syrian mercenaries on the red carpet, but it prevented the "Defend Kurdistan" Body from leaving the hotel, and also prevented Kurdish politicians from entering Kurdistan.

Fatush Koksungur also addressed the attacks of the Turkish occupation army against the legitimate defense zones in Southern Kurdistan, and said in this regard, "The Turkish state did not take the decision alone to attack Southern Kurdistan; the attack began immediately after the meeting with Biden, this means that the attack was carried out with the approval of NATO."

Fatush Koksungur also spoke about the statements of the Democratic Party and its Special Forces' support for the Turkish occupation state, and said, "The PDK confirms through its statements that it is participating in these attacks, and not only agreeing with them."

The delegation which included Kurdish politicians, parliamentarians and journalists came and wanted to enter Hewlêr, but it was banned. As well as the Peace Commission wanted to go to Southern Kurdistan, but the Democratic Party obstructed the work of this body, preventing many people within the commission from entering Hewlêr. The PDK Special Forces also banned the delegation from making a statement in front of the United Nations building.

Forcing the Freedom Movement to surrender

Fatush Koksungur noted that the war plan is being supported by the United States of America, the European Union, NATO, the Turkish occupation and the Kurdistan Democratic Party, as they are trying to impose surrender on the Kurdistan Freedom Movement: "Masrour Barzani’s visit to Belgium, as well as Erdogan’s statements at the meeting of NATO countries affirm that NATO is the largest partner in the attacks that Turkey is launching against the areas of Southern Kurdistan."

The Kurdish People's Freedom Movement is not only fighting against the Turkish state, but also against NATO. It is combating to defend its land."

Thousands of people want to go to Southern Kurdistan

Fatush Koksungur said that the Kurdish people living in Europe took a firm stand against the occupation in the spirit of public mobilization, and added, "The "Defend Kurdistan" Platform was formed from Kurdistan to Europe, and we are an active part of this platform. Thousands of Kurdish people who are members in more than 490 councils reviewed the body that wanted to go from Europe to Kurdistan. Our trips to Southern Kurdistan and our endeavors to stop the war will continue."

Fatush Koksungur added, "The government of Southern Kurdistan received the Syrian mercenaries on a red carpet, but it prevented the Kurds who demand peace against the occupation from leaving the hotel, and also prevented them from making a statement in front of the United Nations building. Members of the delegation expressed their opposition to the Turkish occupation by chanting the slogan "Long Live Kurdistan", but the Kurdistan Democratic Party, on the other hand, is trying to legitimize the occupation."

She concluded, "In the name of the Democratic Society Conference in Europe, we will continue our activities, we will continue to expose the treasonous approach represented by the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and we will continue to go out to squares to oppose the occupation and the NATO countries' position."
