Manbij tribal sheikhs: Foreign parties will not succeed in striking stability and security of our city

The sheikhs and dignitaries of clans in Manbij affirmed during the mass meeting that was held today, in the administration building in the city of Manbij, that they stand together with the people of Manbij and its administration, and that foreign parties will not succeed in destabilizing the security and stability of their city, and will not undermine the determination of its people.

Today, the Democratic Civil Administration in Manbij held a public meeting that included all segments of society, including the sheikhs and dignitaries of Manbij tribes and the people, to discuss the recent events that occurred in the city.

On this subject, a number of the sheikhs and dignitaries of the Manbij clans spoke to our agency, including the notable of Al-Bobana clan, Farouk Al-Mashi, who said: "In this public meeting, the demands of our people in Manbij were highlighted."

He added: "When the people came out in Manbij, and they had legitimate and rightful demands regarding the law of the duty of self-defense, foreign parties exploited these demands, turning them into disputes and disagreements between the people and the administration."

Al-Mashi continued: "The administration in Manbij took it upon itself to fulfill all the demands of its people, but what happened in Manbij was a sedition spread by external parties that want to undermine this administration and the people's determination and target security and stability."

At the conclusion of his speech, the notable of Al-Bobana clan, Farouk Al-Mashi, urged the people of Manbij to remedy the strife and not to be drawn into the stalkers of the security and stability of their city, Manbij.

For his part, Fahd Al-Shalash, a dignitary of Bani Saeed clan in Manbij, said: "This public meeting came to resolve the events that took place in the city recently and to listen to the demands of the people."

Al-Shalash noted, "A committee was formed by the Manbij administration to meet with the tribal committees to convey the people's demands to the administration."

Al-Shalash concluded his speech by saying: "We the tribal sheikhs in Manbij are in constant contact with the administration in Manbij to resolve all issues of public interest."
