​​​​​​​PYD's Council in Lebanon condemns KDP's arrest of its representatives in Başûr Kurdistan

The Council of the party in Lebanon issued a statement to the public opinion, in which it condemned the recent actions of the Kurdistan Regional Government KRG's arrest of the party's and the Autonomous Administration representatives in Başûr, and the text of the statement stated:

"We are going through a sensitive stage in the Middle East, especially at the Kurdish level. On the one hand, the dirty demographic change by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on Afrin, Tal Abyad and Ras al-Ain, and on the other hand, the attacks of the Turkish occupation on Başûr Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Liberation Forces (HPG)... and on a third hand. The special war that the Turkish state is waging against the whole of our Kurdish people for igniting Kurdish infighting and striking their gains."

The statement continued: "At a time when efforts to complete the Kurdish dialogue are accelerating, in a grave development, the KDP-affiliated forces arrested the representative of relations in our party, Mustafa Osman, and a member of the Relations Committee in Hewlêr Mustafa Aziz, along with the representative of the Autonomous Administration, Jihad Hassan, while they were going to receive guests at the Erbil Airport.

The statement pointed out: "Such actions that do not meet the minimum rights and aspirations of our people, bear the consequences of the KRG's authorities, and this goes into the enemies service and prevent any Kurdish rapprochement. This is a crime that is added to their track record of dealing with the Turkish enemy and their butcher, Erdogan.

The statement concluded: “We, as members of the PYD's Council in Lebanon denounce these dangerous and irresponsible acts and abuses against our representatives by the Başûr's authorities. We insistently demand an immediate and complete cessation of all these practices that violate laws and regulations, and that harm the aspirations of the Kurdish people. We also condemn any move by any party to overthrow the right of resistance and struggle against the crimes of the Turkish army that target our Kurdish people."
