The resistance of political prisoners inside Turkish prisons is escalating in the battle of the Empty Intestine, which they launched since 27th November last year, with a view to lifting the severe isolation against Leader Abdullah Ocalan and ending the violations to which detainees are subjected.

In this context, the member of the Council of Martyrs' Families, Ali Omar, said that Turkish hostility to Kurd had existed since time immemorial, noting that this had been evident through Turkey's policy of genocide against Kurd.

'In Turkey, peaceful methods are met with iron and fire '.

Omar explained that the history of the Turkish State from the era of the ephemeral Ottoman Empire to the present is characterized by criminality as a result of its crimes and massacres against the Kurdish people.

He added: "After the foundation of the Kurdistan Liberation Movement in 1978, its political activity based on the principle of a free democracy, and its effective solutions to resolve the Kurdish issue in Bakur Kurdistan by peaceful political means, the Turkish authorities confronted it with iron and fire."

He continued politically, and although the Kurd deputies won the elections by legitimate means, the Turkish authorities did not like this Kurdish presence in the Turkish parliament, trying to remove them by fabricating lies and claims that the HDP was dealing with the PKK until they reached their goals and were arrested.

Political detainees continued their struggle in Turkish prisons by organizing hunger strike events and campaigns to realize their legitimate rights within prisons as political detainees, reducing violations against them and physically freeing Leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Undermining gains
In his turn, Youssef Mulla, national figure from Qamishlo city, explained that the plot of some capitalist regimes in 1996 had been mainly aimed at dismantling the Kurdistan Liberation Movement, during which political detainees had shown unique resistance and had taken historic steps in that regard, organizing denials in Turkish prisons to foil what had been planned.

About the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria, Mulla said: "The achievements of AANES since its founding in 2014 and its active role in the cause of all the peoples of the region, based on the principle of brotherhood of peoples and coexistence, have been the hallmark of the destruction of the capitalist system in the Middle East in particular and of the world in general."

The people in north and east Syria continue to organize supportive activities for political detainees in Turkish prisons, and they, in their turn, stress the lifting of the strict isolation against Leader Abdullah Ocalan.
