Russian aircrafts launch 70 strikes in Syrian Desert within 24 hours

Russian fighters launched more than 70 air strikes during the past 24 hours, during which they targeted Athariya axis in the eastern countryside of Hama, the Rusafa Desert in the countryside of Raqqa, and the vicinity of Jabal al-Bishri at the administrative borders between Raqqa and Deir Ezzor.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the raids killed 5 ISIS mercenaries and injured others, while Russian warplanes continued to fly overhead.

Despite the intense air strikes that the Russian planes launch on ISIS mercenary sites in the Syrian Desert, they were unable to limit their movements and target the Damascus government forces.

The death toll from March 24, 2019 to the present day, according to the statistics and documentation of the Syrian Observatory, has reached 1,433 deaths amongst the Damascus government forces and their loyalists of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities: including at least two Russians, in addition to 150 non-Syrian groups loyal to Iran, all of them were killed during attacks, bombings and ISIS ambushes in the deserts of Deir Ezzor, Raqqa, Homs, Sweida, Hama, and Aleppo.

The Syrian Observatory also documented the killing of 4 civilians working in the gas fields and dozens of shepherds and other civilians, including children and women, in ISIS attacks, while 955 ISIS mercenaries were killed during the same period in the attacks, shelling and targeting.
