Destroyed villages demonstrating Turkish shelling brutality against rural Girê Spî

For 15 months, no media has been able to reach the frontlines west of Girê Spî / Tal-Abyed, exception ANHA's agency, which has been able to monitor the massive destruction in villages adjacent to the Turkish-occupied areas.

In the course of one and a half years, the Turkish occupation used heavy artillery and tanks, as well as rockets, to bomb a number of villages, such as "Bir Arab, Qrünfel, Küberk, Bir Zanar and Qazali," which are today abandoned.

The systematic destruction of villages comes, despite the withdrawal of the Syrian Democratic Forces from the entire border strip towards the depth of Syrian territory 32 km south of the M4 international road

Canton Council accuses Turkey of deliberately destroying villages'

Girê Spî / Tal-Abyed Canton Council earlier confirmed that the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries had deliberately destroyed six villages on the M4 international road since the start of the aggression in the Ain Issa district.

The Council noted that small villages were exposed to heavy shelling by Turkish Occupation over the past months, as documented by ANHA's agency with photographs and videos.

Dozens of families in the western countryside of Girê Spî / Tal-Abyed and villages on the international road were forced to leave their homes and move towards Tel Sa'man camp south of Ain Isa, while families fled to the towns of Raqqa and Kobani.

'Requests to visit destroyed areas and to investigate the trues'

In a statement made by the Deputy co-presidency of the canton, Sabri Nebo, to ANHA agency, in which he called on human rights organizations and the International Committee to visit the areas subjected to Turkish aggression, to investigate facts, and to document Turkish crimes against civilians.

 Earlier, AANES called on the "United States of America and Russia" guarantor states to play their role in stopping the Turkish aggression.

Turkey occupied large areas between the areas of Serêkaniyê /Ras al-Ain Girê Spî / Tal-Abyed in northeastern Syria, during a military aggression on October 9^th 2019.

On 23^rd October 2019, the Syrian Democratic Forces withdrew from the entire border strip with Turkey 32 km deep into Syrian territory in order to remove Turkish excuses in their attempt to occupy other border areas, so that Russia and the Syrian Government would ensure the security of the front-lines' areas.
