SDC congratulates Yazidis on Çarşema Sor

The SDC statement reads as follows:

'' On the occasion of the Yazidi New Year, Çarşema Sor, Syria's Democratic Council, the SDC, express congratulation to all Yazidis living under the umbrella of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria that is an oasis of coexistence and to Yazidis all over the world wishing them all the best.

Yazidis are deeply rooted in history representing another history and entity of the diverse and plural Kurdish identity that stood up to unlimited tragedies and catastrophes the last of which was three years ago in Afrin at the hands of terrorist and extremist pro Turley factions that occupy the region, and the crimes committed by ISIS in Shengal in the Kurdistan Regional Government.  

Giving protection to the Yazidi community is promotion to the communal Syrian national identity wishing it to usher in prosperity and renewal and to give end to all calamities and to achieve aspirations of the Syrian people in a democratic, plural and decentralized Syria''.
