DAA of Jazira Canton congratulates on New Year 2026

The DAA issued a statement congratulating people on the occasion of the New Year 2026, extending its greetings to the peoples of the world and to the Syrian people in particular, and expressing its hopes that the new year will bring goodness, peace, and hope for all.

In its statement, the DAA emphasized the importance of working to build a democratic, pluralistic, and decentralized Syria that fulfills the aspirations of the martyrs and the hopes of the Syrian people, and guarantees coexistence among all components in a way that reflects cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity.

It stressed the need to unite efforts and strengthen national unity to overcome the effects of war and the tragedies suffered by the country.

The statement also gave special attention to the role of women, considering them a central pillar in rebuilding society and strengthening national unity. It called for enhancing women’s participation in all areas of life, affirming that progress and justice cannot be achieved without empowering women and granting them full rights.

The statement further addressed the issue of displaced persons and refugees, stressing the necessity of their return to their areas and the provision of a safe and suitable living environment, contributing to stability and peace for all citizens. It concluded with a call to make Syria a safe and democratic homeland that embraces all its people.

Representatives of the DAA also visited a number of Internal Security Forces checkpoints and posts across the canton, in appreciation of their continuous efforts to maintain security and stability.

The visit included the joint presidency of the Executive Council and the Interior Authority of Jazira Canton, along with several administrators from the Internal Security Forces and Autonomous Administration bodies. The delegation reviewed the readiness of the checkpoints and posts, affirming the important role played by Internal Security Forces personnel, especially under harsh winter weather conditions.

During the visit, attention was drawn to the efforts exerted by the Internal Security Forces during Christmas and New Year holidays to ensure the safety and security of citizens, expressing high appreciation for their dedication and perseverance in carrying out their duties.

They reaffirmed their continued support for joint efforts aimed at protecting security and stability in Jazira Canton, wishing these institutions continued success in performing their duties efficiently and effectively.
