Hundreds of Tel Tamer women celebrate International Women's Day

Hundreds of women of Tel Tamer district celebrated International Women's Day during a celebration organized in the city center, and confirmed that their slogan is "We are here, here is freedom, we are here, here is peace, love and jasmine."

This morning, hundreds of women gathered in the districts of Tel Tamr and Zarkan which are being attacked by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, in the Martyrs' Families Council Square to celebrate the occasion.

The celebration began with holding a minute of silence, after which Zeinab Morad delivered a speech on behalf of the Kongra Star and blessed the 8th of March to all women, fighters of freedom, martyrs of freedom and leader Abdullah Ocalan, noting that in the spirit of March 8th and on the path of struggles, they will raise the pace of their struggle.

She added: History is witness to the crimes committed against women, and today we see that the Turkish state and its agents are trying to break the will of free women by arbitrarily arresting them and committing crimes against them.

In the context of her speech, Zeinab referred to al-Hariri’s visit to the Kurdistan Region and said, “There are great conspiracies being hatched against us and against our people, the last of which is the reception of the Kurdistan Regional Government of the so-called Coalition and Nasr al-Hariri."

The Commander of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) Sawsan Afrin blessed the 8th of March on the women of the world and the strugglers in particular, and said: "Our slogan still exists, we are here, and here is freedom, peace, love and jasmine."

Sawsan confirmed: "We, as the Women's Protection Units, have shown the pledge and oath from the beginning of the revolution until now, and we renew our pledge that we will be the protective shield for our people and women, and the best evidence is the resistance of the martyrs and our heroines who are still placed on the battle fronts including Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Assyrians and Armenians, and International strugglers from different countries of the world."

The commander, Sawsan Afrin, finally renewed her pledge to liberate the land of olive, Serêkaniyê, and Girê Spî .

The celebration was concluded with the presentation of orchestras and singing bands  artistic performances and national songs, amid holding Dabkeh circles, mothers' trills and chanting slogans that saluted the resistance of women,
